What is Information bTB (ibTB)? Beth yw Information bTB (ibTB)?

Information bTB (ibTB) is a website showing information on bovine Tuberculosis (bTB). The main information it displays is: Gwefan yw Information bTB (ibTB) sy'n dangos gwybodaeth am Dwbercwlosis Buchol (bTB). Mae'r brif wybodaeth y mae'n ei dangos fel a ganlyn:

The registered locations of current bovine tuberculosis (bTB) outbreaks in England and Wales as well as those that occurred over the past last 10 years, the 'Breakdown' view. What is the purpose of ibTB? Beth yw diben ibTB?

It aims to help farmers protect their cattle against bTB infection. Ei nod yw helpu ffermwyr i ddiogelu eu gwartheg rhag haint bTB.

Version 2.6 was launched in August 2025 and contains a number of changes and improvements. Lansiwyd fersiwn 2.6 ym mis Awst 2025 ac mae'n cynnwys nifer o newidiadau a gwelliannau.

The Eartag Search, users can enter the eartag of any live animal in England and will see a summary of the recent bTB history for that animal. The summary includes information on the individual animal (including its last test) and details on the bTB history of the current and previous herd on which it has resided. Chwilio Tagiau Clust, gall defnyddwyr deipio tag clust unrhyw anifail byw yn Lloegr a bydd yn gweld crynodeb o'r hanes bTB diweddar ar gyfer yr anifail hwnnw. How do I get started with ibTB? Sut y gallaf ddechrau defnyddio ibTB?

The best way to get started with ibTB is look at your local area or search for an animal you own.

To look at your local area, you can double click on the opening map to zoom to a location, use the plus and minus button or use the search box at the top of the screen. If using the search, click on the arrow to the left to choose what type of search you want, then type your CPHH, postcode or local area name into the search box. The map will zoom to the requested location. Check to see if there are any dots indicating ongoing breakdowns nearby. You can then click on each blue dot to view breakdown start and end dates. If there are no blue dots visible, zoom out by clicking the minus sign in the top left of the map area until you can see some breakdowns.

To search for an animal you own, click on the arrow in the search box and choose eartag search and then either paste or type an eartag number into the search box at the top centre of the screen. A series of eartags matching the characters you type will appear in a drop-down list. Use the cursor to select an individual eartag number. When you select your animal of interest, the map will automatically zoom to the current location of that animal and show you summary information on its recent bTB history.

On a PC you can see various controls on the left of the screen. On a mobile or tablet you will need to tap on the menu bars at the top left of the screen to see them. You can use these controls to select the different types of information to view. After any selection click on the 'Update Map' button to view the changes on the map.

What data is shown on the map? Pa ddata a ddangosir ar y map?

ibTB has two map views which can be selected independently under 'Herds'. Mae gan ibTB ddau fap y gellir eu dewis yn annibynnol o dan 'Buchesi'.

Breakdowns - shows both OTF-Withdrawn and OTF-Suspended bTB incidents but does not distinguish between the two. Achosion – yn dangos achosion o bTB sydd â statws heb TB swyddogol (OTF) wedi'i ddiddymu ac wedi'i atal ond heb wahaniaethu rhyngddynt.

At higher resolutions Approved Finishing Units (AFUs) can also be displayed as pink squares on both the above maps or on its own. The AFU display can be turn on and off using the toggle switch. ibTB also allows searching for CPHH, location or individual animal using the search box at the top of the screen. Selecting the animal (Eartag) search option from the search menu will show you a summary of the animal’s recent bTB history. How do I navigate around the map? Sut ydw i'n llywio o amgylch y map?

ibTB starts by showing how many ongoing breakdowns there are in the outlined grids. As you zoom into the map these grids become smaller, until at high resolutions, single breakdowns display as blue dots. The pink squares are AFUs.

You can zoom in and out of the map using the '+' or '-' buttons located in the top left hand corner. All the usual methods used for navigation also work (double-clicking, pinching, panning, etc).

You can return to the original map of England and Wales at any time by pressing the home button in the top left hand corner. The search box is displayed at the centre top of the map. Searches can be performed when using both the breakdown and herd rating views. Animal (Eartag) Search Chwilio am Anifail (Tag clust)

The purpose of the eartag search is to give the user a summary of an animal's recent bTB history enabling them to make an informed decision on what (if any) bTB risk the purchase of the animal represents. The eartag search allows users to enter an animal eartag and see details relating to the animal, the herd it is currently on and, if applicable, the herd it was on prior to the current herd. Please note that legal permission to display these eartag data is not currently available for animals in Wales or Scotland. As a result, the search is only available for animals that currently reside on an English CPHH. Additionally, if an animal on an English herd was previously in Wales or Scotland, data for that animal is not displayed . Data for animals imported into England is also not available to be displayed. Note, animals from Northern and Southern Ireland, the Isle of Man and Jersey are defined as imports and data are not available for them. To perform an Animal search: Mynd ati i chwilio am anifail:

Select the Animal (Eartag) option from the search dropdown. Dewiswch yr opsiwn Anifail (Tag clust) o'r gwymplen chwilio.
Enter an eartag into the search bar. Teipiwch fanylion y tag clust yn y bar chwilio.
When the required eartag appears in the list of those displayed, click on it to select it. Pan fydd y tag clust y gofynnwyd amdano yn ymddangos yn y rhestr o'r rhai sy'n cael eu harddangos, cliciwch arno i'w ddewis.
The map will then automatically zoom to the location the animal is currently on. Yna, bydd y map yn chwyddo'n awtomatig i leoliad yr anifail ar hyn o bryd.

Birth Herd Test Interval (at Birth): 6 months, 1 year, 2, 3 or 4 years. This is the herd test interval at the time the animal was born. In some circumstances the herd test interval may be different from the test interval for the area in which the herd is located. Bylchau Rhwng Profion Buches Lloia (ar Enedigaeth): 6 mis, 1 flwyddyn, 2 flynedd, 3 blynedd neu 4 blynedd . Dyma'r prawf buches cyfnod ar yr adeg y ganwyd yr anifail. Last Test Type: If the animal has been tested, the test type will be displayed. Note this is a 'general testing type', rather than the specific test types used by APHA. Noder mai 'math o brawf cyffredinol' yw hwn, yn hytrach na'r mathau penodol o brofion a ddefnyddir gan APHA.
Last IR Date: The date of any test where the animal was classified as an Inconclusive Reactor (IR). If not displayed the animal has never been an IR. Dyddiad Adweithydd Amhendant Diwethaf: Dyddiad unrhyw brawf lle cafodd yr anifail ei ddosbarthu fel Adweithydd Amhendant. Os na chaiff ei ddangos, nid yw'r anifail erioed wedi bod yn adweithydd amhendant.

CPHH: (County, Parish, Holding, Herd). Rhif y Daliad: (Sir, Plwyf, Daliad, Buches).

Movement Type: Whether the animal moved on to this farm Direct from another farm or via a Market, Collection Centre or Showground. Math o symudiad: P'un a yw'r anifail wedi symud ymlaen i'r fferm hon yn uniongyrchol o fferm arall neu drwy Farchnad, Canolfan Gasglu neu Faes Sioe.
Days on Herd: The number of days the animal has been on this herd. Dyddiau gyda'r Fuches: Nifer y diwrnodau mae'r anifail wedi bod gyda'r fuches hon.

Herd (CPHH), Place or Postcode Search Chwilio am Fuches (CPHH), Lleoliad neu God Post

Searches for a particular herd or area of interest may be performed by entering the CPHH, the place or a postcode in the search box located at the top of the map. Gellir cynnal chwiliadau am fuches benodol neu faes diddordeb penodol drwy nodi'r CPHH, y lleoliad neu god post yn y blwch chwilio ar frig y map.

The information displayed for the search are the current area and herd test intervals for the herd. The herd test interval may differ from the area testing interval for a number of reasons. For example, it may be less frequent if the herd has achieved 'earned recognition' or it may be more frequent if it is deemed to represent a higher bTB risk. Y wybodaeth a ddangoswyd ar gyfer y chwiliad yw'r ardal bresennol a'r bylchau rhwng profion ar gyfer y fuches. Display nearest AFUs Dangos AFUs agosaf

Selecting this option will automatically show you the five nearest AFUs from your selected location. The map will automatically zoom to a resolution that displays all five AFU locations. Bydd dewis yr opsiwn hwn yn dangos y pum AFU agosaf i'r lleoliad a ddewiswyd gennych yn ddiofyn. Bydd y map yn chwyddo'n awtomatig i ddatrysiad sy'n dangos y pum lleoliad AFU.

Please note that the distance displayed (in km) between the location and each AFU is a straight-line distance. The nearest AFU (which is highlighted) may not necessarily represent the quickest travelling time. Noder mai pellter llinell syth yw'r pellter a ddangosir (mewn km) rhwng y lleoliad a phob AFU. The area on the left of the screen contains the controls to select what information you can see. Note, on mobile devices you will need to click the three menu bars at the top left of the screen to access the controls. More details on the different controls are given below. How do I change the basemap? Sut ydw i'n newid y map sylfaen?

You can change the underlying background map to show Streets, Open Street Map, Topographic Map, Satellite Map or a hybrid of both satellite and Street maps. Select your chosen background from the Basemap dropdown and then press the Update Map button. Gallwch newid y map cefndir sylfaenol i ddangos Strydoedd, Map Strydoedd Agored, Map Topograffig, Map Lloeren neu hybrid o fapiau lloeren a Stryd. How do I display breakdowns? Sut mae dangos achosion?

The initial ibTB display shows all current (or on-going) breakdowns. To change this go to 'Herd', 'Breakdown' parameters (located under the left hand menu). Mae sgrin arddangos gychwynnol ibTB yn dangos yr holl achosion presennol (neu barhaus) o TB. I newid hyn, ewch i'r paramedrau ‘Buches’, ‘Achosion o TB’ (wedi'u lleoli o dan y ddewislen ar yr ochr chwith).

Select either 'On-going', 'Closed' or 'All (On-going and Closed)' breakdowns. Dewiswch naill ai achosion 'Parhaus', 'Wedi Cau' neu 'Pob Math (Parhaus ac Wedi Cau)'.

If the 'On-going' selection is made all current breakdowns are displayed. Os dewisir 'Parhaus', dangosir pob achos presennol.
If the 'Closed' option is selected, all closed breakdowns can be displayed by selecting the 'All Years' option or just those that were closed in a specific year can be viewed by selecting the year. Os dewisir yr opsiwn 'Wedi Cau', gall pob achos wedi cau gael ei ddangos drwy ddewis yr opsiwn 'Bob Blwyddyn' neu gellir gweld y rhai a oedd wedi cau mewn blwyddyn benodol drwy ddewis y flwyddyn.
If the 'All (On-going and Closed)' selection is made all breakdowns that were closed in the previous 10 years and all on-going breakdowns will be combined in the display. Single breakdowns are represented by blue dots. If there are multiple breakdowns for an individual CPHH, the number is shown as a number inside a blue circle. Click on the circles and you can cycle though the breakdowns using the arrow in the black header. If you are not fully zoomed in, the number of breakdowns is shown in clusters of multiple locations, with total number of breakdowns inside the blue circles. To display the CPHH (England only), start (TB2) and end (TB10) dates for clusters of 20 or less click the circle or dot. For clusters you can cycle through the breakdowns by clicking the arrows at the top of the box. Click the 'Update Map' button at the top of the screen. Cliciwch ar y botwm 'Diweddaru Map' ar frig y dudalen.

The map will display a view showing all herds differentiated by colour for the time since their last breakdown. You will be able to drag the map to the area of interest or use the search function in the top right-hand corner to locate the herd of interest. You can choose to see only a sub-set of herds e.g. if you are only interested in seeing herds that have not had a breakdown for at least 5 years, change 'All Data' to '> 5 years' and click 'Update Map'. How do I display Approved Finishing Units (AFUs)? Sut ydw i'n gweld Unedau Pesgi Cymeradwy?

To display AFUs click the button to the right of the 'Approved Finishing Units' option and press the 'Update Map' button. This will show all current AFUs in England and Wales as purple squares. Click the square to display the CPHH of the AFU and a link to further information. Please note that this option only works at higher resolutions. To display the five nearest AFUs to your location use the search facility. Click the search dropdown and tick the 'Display Nearest AFUs' box, enter your location and select from the list. The five nearest AFUs to your location in a straight-line distance will then be displayed. Er mwyn dangos y pum AFU agosaf i'ch lleoliad defnyddiwch y cyfleuster chwilio.
